The Cotton Room is a historic, fully inclusive wedding and event venue located in the heart of Durham, NC. Originally erected in 1900 as a textile factory, The Cotton Room now houses some of the Triangles’ most beautiful weddings and exclusive events.

OUR UNIQUE, DYNAMIC SPACE IS LARGE ENOUGH TO HOLD OVER 400 GUESTS YET INTIMATE ENOUGH FOR A FEW DOZEN PEOPLE TO ENJOY A SMALL GATHERING.

The Cotton Room offers a full suite of services to help you design every aspect of your event, including efficient event planning, delicious food, trendy beverages, serving staff and much more.

Amenities of The Cotton Room

The Cotton Room is a large, open, highly customizable space for wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, or engagement parties, as well as any other corporate or social events.

The main entertaining space of The Cotton Room can be sectioned off into smaller spaces or left wide open.

The Cotton Room is also equipped with a full-service bar to provide craft cocktails and mocktails, as well as a kitchen to allow our caterer to prepare and serve your custom meals fresh.

With your booking of The Cotton Room for a wedding, you also have access to our wedding suites where those who will be wed can have space to prepare and relax on their big day. We have the Magnolia Suite and the Lucky Strike suite for our brides, grooms, or anyone preparing for nuptials.

The Cotton Room itself is 12,000 square feet, accommodating up to 400 people, or able to be made to feel cozy and intimate for a smaller number of people as well.

The Magnolia Suite is 1,500 square feet, and the Lucky Strike Suite is 1,450 square feet. Both are equipped with kitchenettes, entertainment options, and lots of space for pre-wedding preparations with an entourage.
